Think Safe Drink Safe Card Update

Thank you for your interest.

We are currently in the process of reviewing the scheme so are not taking new applications at the moment. In the mean time, there are still a number of free resources available to licensed premises.

The following resources can be ordered free of charge to premises operating within the boundaries of Manchester City Council Licensing Authority*.

Responsible Alcohol Sales Training Guide

This glossy guide contains helpful advice for staff authorised to sell alcohol with a self-test at the end. It focuses particularly on responsibilities in relation to under age sales, preventing and dealing with drunkenness, and a zero tolerance to drugs.

Licensed Premises Log Book

This log book aims to help with the day-to-day running of licensed premises and includes recording forms for staff training, refused sales, and incidents. Officers visiting from responsible authorities can also use it to record any comments/follow-up actions needed.

Preventing and dealing with drunkenness

This booster training pack focuses in detail on preventing and dealing with drunkenness. Premises can request booster training alongside the Time Please! Retailer Pack containing customer signage, staff pocket checklist, and refusal advice in a tear-off pad.
